IMA Vadodara BMWMC is unique initiative promoted by IMA Vadodara on a co-operative basis.
IMA Vadodara has promoted a separate trust in the year 2000, to look after the disposal of bio-medical waste generated in their health care units. IMA Vadodara BMWMC had approached the Vadodara Municipal Corporation to provide the land to set up Common Waste Treatment facility. IMA Vadodara BMWMCalong with Quantum Environment Engineers set up a Common Bio medical Waste disposal treatment facility and started its activity since August 2003.
IMA Vadodara BMWMC provides its services to all the clinics/ hospitals/ nursing homes etc. including the Urban health centers of Vadodara Municipal Corporation.
The facility is being upgraded time to tome as per the norms.
The training in relation to Bio Medical Waste disposal is being given to members and their staff. The colour coded bags along with QR code bags are being provided. Our office helps the members in online registration renewal, on line submission of reports etc.
Though the credit goes to IMA Vadodara Bio Medical Waste Management Cell, Dr. Mayank Bhatt and Dr. Chetan N. Patel and now Dr. Paresh Majmudar deserve a special mention for their continuous efforts for its smooth functioning.
Our work is now being recognised by all other IMA Branches, NGOs and Government Departments.
